Ναυτικό Μουσείο Λιτοχώρου

The idea of creation of the Maritime Museum of Litohoro began in 1995 by the Association of Retired Naval of Litohoro, to rescue and preserve the Naval cultural heritage of Litohoro. Also, From 1995 to 2002 there was a huge effort and most of the Litohorians Navy relics got collected. From 2002 to 2004 the exhibits of the Merchant Marine got collected.

In 2004 is being established a non – profit Union by the name “MARINE MUSEUM OF LITOHORO”. In addition, It is registered in the Ministry of Culture as a modern institution Maritime Cultural Heritage. Since then it is constantly enriched with new elements of Naval heritage from Litohoro and the Merchant Marine.

H εξαιρετική συλλογή του μουσείου περιλαμβάνει περί τα 1.000 αντικείμενα, μέρος των οποίων αποτελεί το φωτογραφικό του αρχείο. Τα υπόλοιπα αντικείμενα ανήκουν στις κατηγορίες χαλκοτεχνία, μεταλλοτεχνία, ξυλοτεχνία, κεραμική, εργαλεία-μηχανές, όργανα ναυσιπλοΐας, όπλα, μακέτες, αρχειακό υλικό, ενδυμασία και υφασμάτινα είδη. Επίσης, υπάρχει και η πινακοθήκη του Μουσείου, με έργα που απεικονίζουν κατά κύριο λόγο Λιτοχωρίτικα σκαριά.
